Zyel / Editorial approach
Useful context earns its place.
A security headline should leave you better informed, with a clear sense of what the evidence supports.
Start with the original source
We use vendor advisories, release notes, official documentation and original research where available. Each article links to the material behind its factual claims. A report about an announcement is dated as an announcement; an older event does not become breaking news because we wrote about it today.
Explain the consequence
Our articles connect technical changes with the people operating applications. We distinguish affected products from unverified exposure, a possible risk from a confirmed incident, and our interpretation from a source's claim. Examples describe hypothetical situations unless a project is explicitly identified with permission.
Research, with automated assistance
Zyel uses AI-assisted research and writing, and an automated publishing workflow. Checks cover source links, article structure, duplicate research items and publication integrity. Those checks do not guarantee that every conclusion is correct. Articles carry the Zyel editorial byline; a named contributor appears only when that credit has been agreed.
Correct the article in place
Substantive corrections retain the article's address, show a revised date and explain the change. Earlier versions are retained privately for recovery. To point out an error, use the article's discussion or contact hello@zyel.io with the article link and supporting source.
Keep discussion useful
Comments are reviewed before publication. We welcome good questions and informed disagreement. We may decline spam, harassment, personal information, confidential material and instructions to misuse somebody else's systems. Reader counts include real approved submissions. We do not invent readers, endorsements or engagement.
Practical limits
Articles provide general engineering context. A vendor's advisory cannot establish the condition of an individual server. Check the actual product, package revision, configuration and operating requirements before choosing a change.
